About Coinbase Chrome Extension
The Coinbase Wallet Chrome Extension lets you connect to Web3 applications, manage digital assets, and approve transactions securely. Unlike the Coinbase Exchange app, this wallet is non-custodial — meaning you control your private keys and funds.
How to Install & Set Up
- Go to coinbase.com/wallet and choose the Chrome Extension option.
- Click Add to Chrome in the Chrome Web Store.
- Open the extension from the puzzle icon and pin it for quick access.
- Create a new wallet or restore one with your recovery phrase.
- Secure with a password and store your 12-word seed phrase offline.
Login to Coinbase Extension
To unlock your wallet:
- Click the Coinbase Wallet icon in Chrome toolbar.
- Enter your wallet password.
- If restoring, use your 12-word recovery phrase securely.
Note: Coinbase will never ask for your seed phrase online.
